Reconstruction of water supply networks of the Western shore of the Kola Bay – in a high degree of readiness

The Minister of Energy and Housing of the Murmansk Region, Alexander Kobytev, checked the progress of work on the reconstruction of water supply networks located on the Western Shore of the Kola Bay.

All activities are carried out according to the approved schedule. The first stage – laying of the pipeline on the section from Minkino to Drovyanoye – has been completed. The readiness of the second stage - from Komsomolskaya Gorka to Wood – exceeds 60%.

The third stage, namely the laying of water supply networks under the Kola and Tuloma rivers, will begin in the summer, after the completion of the examination and receipt of all permits.

It is noteworthy that the project provides for a backup pipeline in areas under water bodies in order to quickly switch consumers and quickly restore the supply of the resource. In these sections of the network, in the event of an accident, repair work may take a long time.

Recall that the goal of the project for the reconstruction of water supply networks located on the Western Shore of the Kola Bay is to provide clean and high–quality water to the microdistricts of Abram-Mys and Drovyanoye, the village of Minkino, the villages of Mishukovo and Mezhdurechye. The project provides for the reconstruction of existing networks and the laying of a new water pipeline with a total length of more than 30 thousand linear meters with a implementation period until the end of 2023.
