Murmansk and Pskov regions expand cooperation in the field of investment development

A working meeting of representatives of the Government of the Murmansk Region with a delegation of the Government of the Pskov Region took place at the Regional Management Center. The participants discussed assistance in implementing the best practices of the regional investment standard and exchanged practices of working with investors between regions.

"The work on improving the investment climate remains important. Every month there are new challenges in which the regions must respond very quickly in order to maintain the dynamics of investment activity, stimulate the creation of new small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as attract new investors. The Murmansk region maintains a stable position. To date, more than 200 residents of the TOP and AZRF have been registered in the region. We continue to look for new ways and means to support business, and of course, we pay special attention to the development of interregional cooperation," said Olga Kuznetsova, Deputy Governor of the Murmansk Region.

The team of the Murmansk region shared its successful experience in the development of the investment and tourist climate of the region. The share of industrial production in the GRP of the region is 47.8%, including manufacturing – 33.6%.The interest of tourists is growing, a vivid example of this is the dynamics of the tourist flow. If we compare the pre-pandemic year (2019), when the number of tourists was the largest - 458 thousand tourists, in 2022, according to preliminary estimates, attendance will reach more than 500 thousand people.

"There are quite strong ties between our regions. This year we decided to expand the cooperation that began in 2020, supplementing it with the sphere of investment development. I am convinced that strengthening interregional ties through the exchange of experience and practices makes our country stronger," said Ninel Salagaeva, Deputy Governor of the Pskov Region.

The delegation of the Pskov Region will also visit the NOVATEK-Murmansk industrial site as part of the working visit.
