As part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), developer BN Group and the Government of the Murmansk Region signed an agreement on the development of housing construction in the region.
"More and more Northerners want to live in their own house. This is confirmed by the volume of individual housing commissioning, which has increased 6.9 times in 7 years. And this unprecedented growth in individual development has given impetus to the revival of housing construction and the real estate market as a whole. And, of course, the support programs launched in the region contributed to this. Thus, thanks to the regional program "Your Home in the Arctic", it was possible to build more than 1300 houses, and 2506 families have already used the "Arctic mortgage" at 2%. Two complex projects involving the construction of cottage settlements are already being implemented in Murmansk. The agreement with BN Group will allow us to offer a new quality product — houses made of modern wooden materials. And all this is for our residents!" explained Andrey Chibis, Governor of the Murmansk Region.
The aim of the cooperation is to build five modern residential buildings in Monchegorsk using CLT technologies. The volume of investments in the first facilities will amount to 2 billion rubles.
"The Murmansk Region is a strategically important region for the company. We are already preparing to launch construction projects made of CLT panels that are unusual for the Arctic. This is an ideal material for the northern regions, because it allows you to keep heat better than traditional structures, and high factory readiness reduces construction time in difficult climatic conditions," says Olga Ivanova, CEO of BN Group.
Recall that 24 multi-family residential buildings with an area of about 170 thousand square meters are currently being built in the Murmansk region, of which 16 houses are being built on the market, and 927 apartments have already been purchased in them, including with the involvement of Arctic mortgages (60%) and Family mortgages (18%). In total, 2506 families in the amount of 8.6 billion rubles used the Arctic mortgage, and 480 families in the amount of 1.99 billion rubles used the Family mortgage.
For reference:
The use of CLT panels allows the construction of facilities in the shortest possible time without loss of energy efficiency. CLT as a building material has fire and earthquake resistance. Its strength is comparable to concrete, while its weight is five times less. CLT buildings can go without major repairs for about 50 years, and the carbon footprint of their production is completely negative.
