NPC PROGRESS, a resident of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, will build a production and installation workshop for assembling unmanned aerial vehicles in Murmansk. Under the agreement with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, the investor will invest 3.2 million rubles. The production capacity is 1,500 units per month. Production will begin at the end of 2025. The Murmansk Region Development Corporation also provided comprehensive support for the project.
"As part of the project, our company will build an assembly shop of prefabricated structures for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles, especially surface ones. 40% of the products will be exported, including to the countries of the Arab League," said Ivan Sukhanov, the company's CEO.
Throughout the Murmansk Region, there are special conditions for entrepreneurs who start new investment projects in the region. Thus, among the support measures under the regime of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, companies and individual entrepreneurs can count on compensation for insurance premiums, tax benefits on land, profits and property.
"The KRDV accompanies Arctic entrepreneurs at all stages of the implementation of investment projects. Residents of the preferential treatment of the Russian Arctic have access to reduced tax rates, administrative and consulting support. This accelerates the creation of new production facilities that are necessary for the country, and creates comfortable business conditions in the region," said Alexander Shutov, Director of the Murmansk Regional Production Company.
Among the measures to support entrepreneurship is compensation of insurance premiums in the amount of 75% for 10 years. During the first five years of residency, the income tax rate is 5%. Residents are not taxed on land for the first three years. For the first five years, entrepreneurs are not subject to property taxes.
"Projects totaling about 260 billion rubles are currently being implemented in the Murmansk Region, and more than 40 projects are already successfully working for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Arctic. Our entrepreneurs are actively using the existing mechanisms of government support measures," said Svetlana Panfilova, Deputy Governor and Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region.
According to the agreements with the KRDV, 907 residents are implementing projects in the AZRF regime. Businesses have already invested 147 billion rubles in the economy of the Russian Arctic and created 11,000 jobs. 233 investment projects in various industries have been put into operation.
