The Governor of the Murmansk Region, Andrey Chibis, held a working meeting on the construction of a world-class campus in the regional center. Draft solutions for how educational blocks and residential buildings can be located were presented at the meeting.
"The creation of the campus is a landmark decision by Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin for the hero city of Murmansk. It is very important to clarify once again which laboratories and equipment should be on this campus, how its infrastructure will be used, and what social significance it will have for the city. We need to make sure that this is not just a closed university facility, it is important that it has the opportunity to hold various events so that the campus becomes a center for youth life," Andrei Chibis emphasized.
During the meeting, key aspects of the project were discussed, including the specialization of the future campus. The participants agreed that it should combine several major educational areas, creating a single research space.
Special attention was paid to building a common educational ecosystem. It was about creating a certain algorithm for professional self-determination, in which a student can count on support at all stages of building his future career: from admission to a university or a higher education institution to employment at an enterprise.
The head of the region, Andrey Chibis, noted that it is important to complete the formation of the necessary package of documents in order to receive federal funding for the project.
