The topic of housing construction became a key one during today's workshop, which was held by the Governor of the Murmansk Region, Andrey Chibis. According to the head of the region, in 2.5 years, the northerners have built or purchased 978 houses under the program "Their home in the Arctic."


"We have managed to restart housing construction. At the end of last year, we commissioned five houses. Now we are preparing for the next key delivery at the new facility. We don't stop there. We have already started implementing large–scale projects that are being stimulated, including the Arctic Mortgage, which is supported by President Vladimir Putin," the head of the region emphasized.


During a meeting with the heads of relevant departments, Andrei Chibis outlined the need for further consolidation of efforts aimed at using all opportunities in the construction sector. It was about improving the mechanism for providing free land plots, which will help reduce the cost of work during the construction of facilities.

At the moment, the construction of six houses continues in the regional center on Zelenaya, Polyarnye Zori, Kirpichnaya streets in Murmansk, as well as one house in Zapolyarnoye.

Private developers for sale in the primary housing market are working on the construction of houses on Shevchenko Street and in Molodezhny Passage in Murmansk. In Kola, the developer Aeroplane is implementing a comprehensive residential development.

In addition, agreements were signed with Aeroplane and Glorax for housing construction in Murmansk, and with TSD for construction in the capital of the Kola Arctic, Monchegorsk and Kirovsk, including as part of the implementation of master plans approved by the President. In total, it is planned to build 1 million square meters over the next 10 years. m housing.
