
The International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM has started in Minsk for the first time. Belarus" within the framework of the Big Industrial Week. The forum is attended by a delegation of the Murmansk Region represented by representatives of the regional Development Corporation.
During the forum part of the Belarusian INNOPROM, a number of strategically important sessions aimed at strengthening the EAEU industrial integration and developing technological cooperation will be held in the next three days. According to the organizers, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, the opening of the exhibition in Minsk is an important milestone in the development of trade and industrial relations within the Union State.
The forum launched the round table "Interregional cooperation in the field of industrial innovations – a dialogue of counterparts", dedicated to the development of approaches to industrial and economic cooperation. During the discussion, Murmansk, Arkhangelsk, Chelyabinsk, Ulyanovsk regions and other Russian regions shared their experience of cooperation with the regions of Belarus. In particular, the Murmansk Region is actively developing cooperation with its neighboring state. In 2024, the Governor of the Murmansk Region, Andrei Chibis, visited the Republic of Belarus, as a result of which decisions were made to continue cooperation. Artem Kuksa, Director General of the Development Corporation, spoke in more detail about the work that the Murmansk Region government team is building with Belarusian colleagues in the field of investments at the Belarusian INNOPROM.
"The Murmansk Region and the Republic of Belarus have common ground, which we are actively developing. First of all, this is logistics. One of the main investment projects is the construction of a new multimodal port with a capacity of 25-30 million tons. Mutually beneficial cooperation is not limited to the development of the port. About 300 BELAZ vehicles are successfully operating at mining enterprises in the region, such as the Kirov branch of Apatit JSC and Olenegorsky GOK, and more than 200 MAZ buses are operating on the roads. Recently, as a result of an agreement between Governor Andrey Chibis and BelAZ, a BELAZ technical support center was opened in the Kola Arctic, which is an indicator of cooperation," said Artyom Kuksa.
As part of the exhibition part of INNOPROM. Belarus" in the coming days, more than 500 companies from Belarus, Russia and other countries will present their achievements in the fields of mechanical engineering, metallurgy, chemical industry, industrial IT and automation. The work of the Murmansk Region delegation within the framework of the Big Industrial Week will continue at the conference of Investment Development Institutes "EAEU. Investments without Borders", September 30 - October 1.
