A new simplified procedure for technological connection to the electric grid is now available for representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Russia.
According to Decree No. 1246 signed by the Government of the Russian Federation on August 20, 2025, SMEs will be able to connect facilities with a capacity of 150 to 670 kW in electronic format.
The procedure has become simple and convenient due to the possibility of submitting an application online and paying an invoice from the energy company electronically.
All required documents will be posted directly in the consumer's personal account on the official resource of the electric grid company or the portal of public services.
Switching to electronic document management will avoid unnecessary bureaucratic paperwork, shorten the processing time for applications and reduce the burden on both sides of the process.
The resolution has entered into force and now supplements the previously adopted document – Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated December 27, 2004 No. 861.
