The winners of the Gubernatorial Start competition have been determined

During the operational meeting, Oksana Demchenko, First Deputy Governor of the Murmansk Region, reported on the results of the Gubernatorial Start competition. Thus, in the first competitive selection in 2024, 186 applications were received from individuals, self-employed, entrepreneurs and start-up entrepreneurs. Within the framework of the competition initiated by Governor Andrey Chibis, 21 projects were recognized as winners.


"The Gubernatorial Start competition has proved to be one of the most popular among citizens and the business community of the region. Over four years, according to the results of competitive selections, 127 applicants received a grant for a total amount of 134.3 million rubles. Applications for the first competitive selection this year have been received from almost all municipalities," Oksana Demchenko noted.


Svetlana Panfilova, Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region, spoke in more detail about the provision of support and the winners.


"The grant amount is up to 1 million rubles, for certain categories of applicants – up to 2 million rubles, for the self–employed - up to 500 thousand rubles. Thus, projects implemented on the territory of border, remote settlements of the Murmansk region, in BUT and single–industry towns, projects implemented on the Arctic Hectare, as well as participants in a special military operation and members of their families, projects aimed at attracting convicts to work can receive funding of up to 2 million rubles," the minister reported.


The grant funds can be spent on the following areas:

rent of non-residential premises or land plots;
purchase of fixed assets (working and power machines and equipment, measuring and regulating devices and devices, office equipment, furniture, vehicles, tools, production and household inventory with a service life exceeding 12 months);
expenses for advertising and promotion of the project, including the creation of an Internet site;
repair and construction and installation works (with a preliminary estimate).


The amount of co-financing from the applicant is at least 20% of the total cost of the project for SMEs and at least 10% of the total cost of the project for self-employed citizens.


As Svetlana Panfilova noted, the largest number of applications were received for the implementation of projects in the field of recreation and entertainment, projects in the field of providing various services to the public and production projects in various fields from souvenirs to food production are also popular.


As part of the first competitive selection, 103 applicants were admitted for a total amount of about 138 million rubles.


The winners are projects implemented in the social sphere, in the field of sports, recreation and entertainment, projects implemented by family members of participants in a special military operation and others.
