The Export Support Center was established in the Murmansk Region in March 2019 as part of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Businesses and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives".
"Today, the Export Support Center is used by entrepreneurs who have experience only in Russia and have the potential to enter foreign markets, as well as organizations that regularly export their products, are ready to expand sales markets and find new counterparties. The center has helped many companies adapt to the conditions of the pandemic and enter the international online trade, " said Olga Kuznetsova, Deputy Governor of the Murmansk Region.
The center will help entrepreneurs create presentation materials in foreign languages, develop or modernize the company's website, gain access to electronic trading platforms, prepare export contracts and solve many other issues for free or on the terms of profitable co-financing.
With the assistance of the Center, entrepreneurs successfully participate in international exhibitions abroad and in Russia: in 2019, the products and services of companies in the region were presented at exhibitions in Brussels, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Qingdao, and before the closure of the borders in 2020-in Mumbai and Bremen. As a result, international contracts were signed with new customers, and the geography of deliveries of products from the Murmansk Region abroad was expanded.
"In just two years of work, 243 companies have received assistance. To date, 60 exporters of the region have signed foreign economic contracts with our assistance, and the total amount of contracts amounted to more than 15 million US dollars," said Anastasia Tyutina, head of the Export Support Center of the Murmansk Region.
Participation in business missions organized by the Central Bank allows entrepreneurs to meet in person with potential foreign buyers, and also provides an opportunity to conclude foreign trade contracts within the framework of negotiations. In 2019, business missions were conducted in Alanya (Turkey) and the cities of Kunming and Chongqing (China).
With the support of the Center, the region was visited by delegations of businessmen from Finland, Norway, India, China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and a number of Southeast Asian countries, and the prospects for cooperation were discussed at meetings with local entrepreneurs.
In addition, over the past two years, hundreds of regional business representatives have received practical knowledge at seminars organized by the Center in Murmansk, Kandalaksha, Apatity and Nickel, as well as received training at the Export School of the Russian Export Center.
