On March 10, a strategic session for entrepreneurs was held in Monchegorsk. The speakers of the session were Svetlana Panfilova, General Director of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation, employees of the Ministry of Investment, Business Development and Fisheries of the Murmansk Region and the Murmansk Regional Innovation Business Incubator. The event was organized by the Monchegorsk Development Agency with the support of Norilsk Nickel and the city administration.
Svetlana Panfilova told the business community of Monchegorsk about the tools to support business activities in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, how to become a resident, what criteria exist for the applicant, and how the Development Corporation helps in the formation of a package of documents for submitting an application, as well as plans to support projects through project financing of the Corporation.

During the event, 11 entrepreneurs who applied for the competition received information support and evaluation of their business projects by experts from different industries to form an application for financing in VEB.RF.
Among the business ideas submitted for the competition are the construction of a camp site, the opening of a language center, the reconstruction of a shopping center, a berry harvesting company, a camping site, and others.
The commission is currently processing applications and will soon select the winners, who will receive expert support in obtaining funding and the opportunity to attract investments for the implementation of their projects from 5 to 100 million rubles.
"Today, the region has created unique conditions for investment. Regional development institutions are aimed at making the work of investors in the region comfortable and productive. I am sure that this format of working with business will give a new impetus to the economic development of the city and attract investment, " Svetlana Panfilova said.
