A new sports and recreation complex will appear in Murmansk on Starostina Street. The contractor has received a construction permit.
"The project is included in the state program of the Murmansk region "Physical culture and sports". The construction of a sports and recreation complex is also prescribed in the concession agreement concluded with the government of the Murmansk region. In the near future, the contractor will begin work on the preparatory period," said Alexey Grachikov, Minister of Construction of the Murmansk Region.
The sports and recreation complex will become the second sports facility to be built in the Kola Arctic Region under the mechanism of public-private partnership. And the first one built under the Arctic Concession.
Let us remind you that curling tracks and a gym for rhythmic gymnastics will appear in the new Murmansk sports complex on Starostina Street. The complex will also become a base for training and regional competitions in mini-football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, dancing and other disciplines.
The total volume of planned investments is 1.2 billion rubles, while the share of regional financing will be 15%.
The development of the project of the sports and recreation complex was carried out by the Murmansk Region Development Corporation together with JSC TRANSPROJECT Group.
