Additional funds will be allocated to milk producers in the Murmansk region to support

The Government of the Murmansk Region is taking all possible measures to support the agro-industrial complex aimed at preserving agricultural production in the region.

The current state support measures are reviewed and increased annually, as well as new directions are being developed. In order to reduce the financial burden of regional producers, starting from 2021, the subsidy rate for cow's milk produced and sold in the Murmansk Region has been increased 2.6 times, which allowed farmers to increase milk production by 35% by the end of 9 months of this year compared to the same period last year.

The governor of the Murmansk Region, Andrey Chibis, decided to allocate 33.4 million rubles to provide subsidies to milk producers this year to maintain the pace of production expansion.

Agricultural producers who passed the selection process at the beginning of this year and exceeded the targets for the production of these products for 11 months will be allocated funds for cow's milk produced and sold in the Murmansk region in excess of the approved planned volumes.
