Agricultural producers can receive a subsidy

On behalf of the Governor, the Government of the Murmansk Region has amended the rules for granting subsidies from the regional budget to compensate for part of the costs of purchasing young cattle for fattening.

In accordance with the amendments, from 2023, peasant (farmer) farms and individual entrepreneurs – agricultural producers registered and engaged in the production of agricultural products in the Murmansk Region can receive support in the form of reimbursement of the actual costs incurred for the purchase of young cattle for fattening at an increased rate for calculation.

The amount of the subsidy planned to be provided to each winner of the selection is determined individually within the limits of the limits of budget obligations for the current financial year brought to the regional Ministry of Natural Resources in accordance with the established procedure and is calculated based on the subsidy rates:
- 165 rubles per kilogram of purchased young cattle with a live weight of up to 80 kg;
- 120 rubles per kilogram of purchased young cattle with a live weight from 81 to 130 kg.

The amount of the subsidy may not exceed the amount of the actual costs incurred for the purchase of young cattle in the current year.

The amendments will support the beef cattle industry and reduce the financial burden on agricultural producers in the region.
