The document was signed on December 13 during a working meeting between the Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis and the President of Alfa-Bank Oleg Sysuev.
Representatives of regional authorities and business discussed the possibility of implementing joint projects and promising areas of cooperation, as well as the introduction of new digital technologies in the region. At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a cooperation agreement.
The Governor stressed that Alfa-Bank is one of the five largest financial structures in Russia in terms of assets and equity.
"Cooperation with one of the leading financial institutions of the country is additional opportunities in the financial and credit sphere to increase investment activity and development of our region," the governor summed up.
Under the agreement, the bank plans to participate in the implementation of investment projects focused on the socio-economic development of the region, to support small and medium-sized businesses, as well as to help improve lending programs and provide high-quality banking services to organizations, individual entrepreneurs and the population. The meeting participants also agreed on cooperation on the implementation of the state subprogram "Tourism Development".
According to Oleg Sysuev, the agreement will help unite the efforts of Alfa-Bank and the government of the Murmansk Region to solve important tasks in the field of socio-economic development of the region and the real sector of the economy as a whole.
"We are pleased to take part in projects significant for the region, providing comprehensive, and most importantly, high-quality technological services to residents and companies of the region. We are also ready to cooperate in social projects in the region," the President of Alfa– Bank said.
At the end of the meeting, the Governor expressed confidence that the agreements reached will be implemented in the coming months.
