Rusatom Cargo LLC has started searching for a technical customer to perform engineering surveys and develop project documentation for the Western Transport and Logistics Hub facility. The initial price of the contract is more than 21.139 million rubles, information about this is posted on the public procurement website.
The deadline for submitting applications is December 20 of the current year, the date of summing up is January 19, 2023. The document says that for the fourth quarter of 2020, the estimated preliminary cost of the construction of the facility was estimated at 33.844 billion rubles. The expected duration of the provision of services is 13 months after the conclusion of the contract.
Rusatom Cargo is an enterprise of the Rosatom State Corporation. The branch logistics operator is engaged in the delivery of bulky cargo to nuclear power plants under construction abroad. In addition, on its basis, the organization and development of international transit sea cargo transportation along the Northern Sea Transit Corridor is being formed.
According to Interfax, in November Rusatom Cargo also tried to find a performer of the functions of a technical customer for the Murmansk project. The only participant in the request for proposals was IRBIS Engineering Corporation LLC, the application was rejected due to lack of necessary experience.
In 2021, the regional government expressed its readiness to provide all possible support to the Northern Sea Transit Corridor project. Western transport and logistics hub"LLC "Rusatom Cargo". The company plans to build a hub port on the territory of the Murmansk Region for transshipment of cargo delivered by container ships from European countries to specialized ice-reinforced vessels operating on the NSR routes.
According to preliminary calculations, up to 700 jobs can be created for the implementation of the project of Rusatom Cargo LLC "Northern Sea Transit Corridor". Tax deductions to the budget of the Murmansk region can amount to about 800 million rubles per year.
