
The Governor of the Murmansk Region, Andrey Chibis, signed a trilateral agreement with Murmansk Arctic University and the Antey Sever company. The Alliance of Education, business and government will become a driver of technological development of higher education in the Murmansk region.
"The agreement is related to the development of Murmansk Arctic University and the creation of a new world-class campus. The Antey Company He is already participating in the Proficiency program, thanks to it, laboratories are already functioning in the middle mariner, our task is to take another step to improve the quality of higher education in the region," said Andrey Chibis.
Sergey Balyabo, CEO of Antey Sever, noted that despite the difficult economic conditions, the business is ready to support projects aimed at creating a modern educational environment.
"We will invest in science, education and the younger generation. Our children should be creative, able to generate new ideas for the development of production and the economy of the region and the Arctic zone of Russia,"— said the head of the company.
According to Maria Knyazeva, Acting Rector of Murmansk Arctic University, the creation of the campus has already begun. Its first facility will be the Coastal Training Center, which will be fully commissioned next year. And in 2025, the first part of it will open — a training complex for fighting for the survivability of a vessel with an autonomy module.
"When creating the campus concept, we knew that the main value is not the walls, but the content. Antey Sever is a strategic partner for us, which helps us connect educational programs with the real demands of the Arctic industry," said Maria Knyazeva.
Thanks to the trilateral agreement, the university will be able to strengthen practice-oriented training of specialists in key areas: the Northern Sea Route and Arctic Bioresources and Biotechnologies.
The federal project for the construction of a world-class Campus in Murmansk (UIA Campus) is being implemented as part of the national Youth and Children Project.
