An annual conference of entrepreneurs will be held in Murmansk for representatives of the business community. The event will take place on May 24.
The conference was organized by the regional branch of the business community "Support of Russia" with the participation of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Murmansk region.
Conference participants, invited speakers and government representatives will discuss issues of concern to the business community of the Murmansk region: support for existing entrepreneurs in the development of investment projects in the region, as well as share business experience due to the natural and economic conditions of the region.
The current business of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation faces special challenges in its activities, such as transport remoteness, energy costs of production activities, remoteness from large markets, and the need for highly qualified personnel. Special attention will be paid to the issues of compensation for Arctic entrepreneurs of northern price increases.
"An excellent example of state support for investment projects in the Arctic is the draft law on the system of preferences for investors–residents of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. These support measures are already used by more than 190 residents of the region. In the conditions of the Far North, we can say that any business implemented in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation needs support. And we believe that the prosperity of the Murmansk Region lies in the development of small and medium–sized businesses," said Konstantin Kotlovsky, Chairman of the Murmansk regional branch of Opora Russia.
The conference will bring together active representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in the region who understand the importance of developing and supporting the local business community for a stable and strong economy of the region. Following the discussion, a draft resolution will be created for further interaction between business and government authorities, and subsequently appeals to the Legislators of the Russian Federation.
Within the framework of the conference, in the period from May 19 to May 30, separate sections, round tables and discussion platforms will be organized on the following topics: challenges and prospects of the tourist season, women's entrepreneurship and the health of a female leader, the development of traditional fishing and access to aquatic biological resources of local residents, training for business and entrepreneurial education and other educational events (speaker sessions, excursions, cultural program).
