The implementation of the project of the Center for the Construction of Large-capacity offshore structures of NOVATEK-Murmansk LLC in Belokamenka is fully in accordance with the schedule. In parallel with construction in dry dock CSCS already underway construction of the first gravity base type for a project to produce liquefied natural gas, "Arctic LNG 2". The governor of the region, Andrey Chibis, who visited the NOVATEK industrial site, noted that the unprecedented measures taken in the spring to combat the COVID-19 outbreak on the territory of the construction site were effective.
"This is a unique project for the whole world. We fought the pandemic on the construction site together with NOVATEK, and this allowed the company to act within the project deadlines that were set earlier. The dynamics of construction work for the year is obvious, I am sincerely impressed. The fact that the project is not only large-scale, but also high-tech, allows us to develop a whole set of its satellites on the territory of the Murmansk region, which also become residents of the TOP "Capital of the Arctic" and the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation," the head of the region stressed.
Ubernator recalled that the volume of investments in the CSCMS exceeds 200 billion rubles. Last year, the Murmansk Region received more than a billion rubles in taxes from all employers involved in the project. In addition, PJSC NOVATEK has signed a social and economic partnership agreement with the region with a financing volume of 6 billion rubles over 10 years. More than 150 million rubles of this amount have already been allocated for the modernization of MSTU.
During the visit to the industrial site, Andrey Chibis discussed a number of issues of further cooperation with the General Director of NOVATEK-Murmansk, Peter Oborin.
The head of the company confirmed that the coronavirus at the construction site was completely defeated, and thanked the regional authorities for their extensive and prompt assistance. According to Peter Oborin, the most strict quarantine measures are applied to newly arriving shift workers, mass departures of workers for the weekend in Murmansk are prohibited. The company also enlisted the support of the region in matters of vaccination of employees and the organization of medical examinations of foreign citizens to obtain a patent directly in Belokamenka.
