Four projects of the Murmansk region will receive federal support

Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin today approved a list of Arctic projects that will receive state support. Among them are four projects from the Murmansk region: the development of the Fedorova Tundra platinoid deposit, a specialized deep-water terminal for transshipment of mineral fertilizers in the port of Murmansk, a plant for growing salmon and trout fry in Retinsky, and the technical re-equipment of the port of Vitino and the Belomorskaya oil depot.

The total amount of investment in these projects is more than 80 billion rubles, and the amount of state support is about 8 billion rubles.

It is important that the funds received from the federal budget will be used by the companies to create new infrastructure. This list includes roads, energy infrastructure, communications, and fire-fighting systems.

The creation of these facilities will contribute to the growth of the infrastructure provision of the region, improve the investment attractiveness and, as a result, ensure the socio-economic development of the municipalities where they are created.

These industries are new growth points for their territories, more than 1,700 new jobs and additional taxes to the regional budget to address social issues.

The implementation of such large investment projects for our region is the result of joint work of investors, the Government of the Murmansk Region and the Murmansk Region Development Corporation, which provides comprehensive assistance in the implementation of projects, including consulting support in the selection and receipt of state support measures.
