To date, the number of investment projects that have become residents of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation has reached 50. 19 of them are being implemented or are being prepared for implementation in the Murmansk Region. Eloquent figures were given by the governor of the region Andrey Chibis during the operational meeting.
"The work of the preferential taxation instruments, which we have created together with the federal government, has allowed the Russian Arctic to overcome the first milestone of fifty projects. It is noteworthy that the 50th resident of the Arctic zone was the project for the production of granular slag in the village of Nickel. In total, there are 19 projects from the Murmansk Region in the Arctic zone, and we continue to occupy a leading position in this block, " the head of the region said.
Andrey Chibis also said that on the eve of the Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation approved the application from the 20th candidate for the residents of the Russian Arctic from the Kola Arctic. He became a private entrepreneur who plans to invest 25 million rubles in the construction of a shopping center in Monchegorsk.
"This shows that the benefits that are currently provided for the Arctic and for the Murmansk region are preferences not only for large projects, but also for entrepreneurs who are ready to invest from 1 million rubles of investment. I urge all entrepreneurs to take an active position, to invest in the Murmansk region. In addition to benefits for a number of taxes, this is a radical reduction in contributions to social funds – from 30 to 3.5 %, this is one of the most significant benefits for small and medium – sized businesses," the governor stressed.
