In 2020, a new measure of business support – the Governor's startup-began operating in the Murmansk Region. Support under the program consists in the provision of a grant of up to 1 million rubles and the right to a preferential microloan of up to 1 million rubles at 4% per annum. Recipients are determined on a competitive basis.
According to the Deputy Governor of the Murmansk Region Olga Kuznetsova, the program is popular with entrepreneurs in the region: in 2020, 37 projects became the winners of competitive selections.
"The implementation of projects-recipients of this type of support allowed to open 158 new jobs in seven municipalities. In 2021, the implementation of this direction will continue, with 15 million rubles provided for this purpose. The order of competition will be published today on the website of the Ministry of investment and other information resources," – said Vice-Governor during the operational meeting.
Accepting applications for participation in the contest starts on 1 March and will run until March 26. The competition commission is scheduled to meet in April.
The Vice-Governor also spoke about the events and educational programs for entrepreneurs that are being implemented in the Murmansk region. One of these is the annual exhibition of local producers, which this year is planned to be held on March 26-28.
