"The leadership of the Murmansk Region in the Arctic zone in terms of attracting investment and creating new projects has already been recorded at the federal level. I urge all municipalities, entrepreneurs, and the Development Corporation to move even more actively to preserve this leadership and do everything necessary to ensure that investments, new jobs, new production facilities and business projects appear in the Murmansk Region. We need economic growth in order to have financial resources for the implementation of projects in the social sphere, " the governor stressed.
Companies-residents of the Russian Arctic receive a package of preferences for doing business in the Arctic zone, such as significant benefits for basic taxes, subsidizing insurance premiums for new jobs, providing land plots without bidding, the procedure of a free customs zone, and others. In 2020, 14 economic entities from the Murmansk Region became residents of the Arctic zone.
