Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, supported the creation of the first industrial park in the Murmansk Region during a working meeting with Governor Andrey Chibis.
The industrial park will become a modern multifunctional site for the placement of production, logistics and processing enterprises in the Arctic zone. Its territory will be at least 12 hectares, including about 20 thousand square meters of production space and 25 thousand square meters of warehouse infrastructure, as well as an administrative and business center.
The site will be able to accommodate at least 10 residents and provide them with a ready-made infrastructure with connected communications and service support. A pool of potential residents has already been formed — 11 companies are included in the register. The enterprises plan to develop projects in the fields of shipbuilding and ship repair, metal and stone processing, production of building materials and additive technologies.
"This is a great opportunity for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, the creation of new jobs and the growth of tax revenues. For our part, we will provide the enterprises with all the necessary infrastructure. I thank Denis Valentinovich for his support of this important project," said Andrey Chibis.
Currently, the land and property base is being prepared and work is underway to include the site within the boundaries of the Capital of the Arctic priority development area, which will further enhance the investment attractiveness of the project.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the launch of at least 10 industrial parks, technology parks and business parks in the Arctic and the Far East by 2030.
The implementation of the industrial park will make it possible to form a new industrial cluster in the region, reduce business costs when starting production facilities and ensure a multiplier effect for the economy of the Murmansk Region — from increased investment to the creation of high-performance jobs.
