
The Regional Management Center hosted an expanded meeting between representatives of the Murmansk Region and a delegation of Belarusian business led by the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where the parties discussed the further development of trade and economic ties.
The business delegation of the Republic of Belarus included enterprises operating in the agro-industrial complex (producers of meat, dairy and flour products), companies producing passenger, road construction and agricultural machinery, as well as nitrogen compounds and fertilizers.
The event was attended by representatives of executive bodies, as well as business circles of the Murmansk region and Gomel region.
The Republic of Belarus has traditionally remained an important partner of the Murmansk Region and has great potential for further development of trade and economic ties. Special attention is paid to the development of direct business contacts between the regions.
The Belarusian business delegation was introduced by Vitaly Shevchenko, Acting Deputy Director General for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Gomel Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. At the meeting, he spoke about the activities of the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Then there were presentations of the enterprises that were part of the delegation.
An important event was the signing of a letter of intent between Gomel Meat and Dairy Company Holding Management Company and Aquapipe SPb LLC (Murmansk branch).
The meeting ended with a series of negotiations between representatives of the Belarusian delegation and Murmansk businessmen.
The work program of the Belarusian delegation also includes visits to industry enterprises in the region and a consultation meeting with representatives of executive bodies on participation in procurement procedures, tenders and interaction with government customers.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region.
