Governor Andrey Chibis checked the progress of the construction of the Lavna Seaport

Today, the Governor of the Murmansk Region, Andrey Chibis, checked the progress of the construction of the Lavna Seaport, a resident of the TOP "Capital of the Arctic".  

 

 
"We have once again seen how clearly and smoothly the work is going on. The project readiness is 55%. These are the rates that allow it to be completed on time. As part of the support of the federal government, we have provided water supply to the western shore of the Kola Bay. A separate task is to connect electricity, work is underway with Rosseti in this direction. Another important achievement is the financing of the railway. This is an extremely important project. Today, more than 1,000 people work here. The volume of tax revenues to the regional budget for 10 years of implementation will amount to 8.3 billion rubles. This is not just a local port, but an anchor element of the Murmansk transport hub. When all the necessary infrastructure appears, a serious prospect for the development of capacities will open," the governor stressed.  

Sergey Sorokin, Deputy General Director for Port Construction of JSC "TEK Mosenergo", stressed that particularly difficult work is being carried out at the berths. A module of hydraulic structures is being built there.

The creation of the port is in the area of responsibility of the State Transport Leasing Company. Lavna became the first port concession in Russia. 
 
The strategic facility is part of the project for the Integrated development of the Murmansk transport hub, which is being implemented in accordance with the state program of the Russian Federation "Development of the transport system". This year, the construction of the MTU will be resumed. For these purposes, funds have already been received from the federal budget in the amount of 37.7 billion rubles. 
 
As part of the implementation, it is planned to build a coal transshipment complex with a transshipment capacity of 18 million tons per year; 2.3 km of a non–public railway line "Lavna Terminal station"; arrangement of the port's water area. 
 
At the moment, work has been completed to ensure the water supply of the facility. Water is supplied in normal mode. A roadmap for the construction and reconstruction of overhead lines for technological connection of a substation for power supply has also been signed. In addition, the vertical layout of the territory has been completed, the construction of temporary buildings and structures has been completed, and the main technological equipment has been manufactured. 
 
In addition, work is underway on the construction of non-public railway tracks, the installation of equipment for compact supply units, the points of the geodetic center base and access roads are being equipped.
