Governor Andrey Chibis held a working meeting with First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus Grigory Glazko. The head of the region stressed that the regional government is focused on systematic, long-term work with Belarusian partners.
"We have real growth points and mutual interest. We are talking not only about traditional areas such as industry, construction, and the renovation of public transport, but also about joint projects in the field of logistics, infrastructure, and the development of the Northern Sea Route and the Transarctic Transport Corridor, a priority project for Russia that has been set by President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. In March, a delegation from the Murmansk Region paid a working visit to Minsk. I had a very substantive and productive conversation with President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko, the government, and the Ministry of Transport. We have identified specific areas in which we can move forward today. And during your return visit, we worked out these issues in detail. Now we will discuss the details and nuances," Andrei Chibis said, welcoming his Belarusian colleagues.
Grigory Glazko, First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus, thanked the governor for the warm welcome: "I really liked the region and Murmansk, the dynamics of work in the city, major repairs, and new spaces are visible. We visited many interesting locations. In addition, we discussed and saw the railway, port infrastructure, ports, including a Marina, a bulk terminal, and convenient logistics."
Grigory Glazko invited colleagues from the Murmansk City Administration and the regional Ministry of Transport to visit the Republic of Belarus to familiarize themselves with the approaches to the maintenance and operation of public roads.
It should be noted that in March of this year, a delegation from the Murmansk Region led by Governor Andrey Chibis made a working trip to Minsk.

Mining enterprises in the Murmansk Region are purchasing Belarusian–made mining equipment (51 machines in 2025), and a BelAZ repair service center has been operating in Apatity since 2024. Belarusian vehicles are also being actively purchased as part of the regional passenger transport renewal program.
In addition, joint initiatives are being implemented in the fields of culture, sports, education and science: inter-museum projects, tours and festivals are being held.
