The Commission of the Ministry of Sports of Russia approved the allocation of federal co-financing for the creation of two sports clubs of quick access "My Station" within the framework of the federal project "Business Sprint (I choose sports)". New sports facilities will appear in Murmansk and Apatity next year. The projects will be implemented under concession agreements.

The selection of projects took place in accordance with the rules for the provision and distribution of subsidies from the federal budget to the subjects of the Russian Federation for the creation of sports infrastructure facilities for mass sports under concession or PPP agreements.

"When implementing the federal project "Business Sprint (I choose sport)", the Ministry of Sports of Russia prefers projects in which the volume of private investment exceeds 51%, the creation period is no more than one year, the ratio of budget participation to the socio-economic efficiency of the project is at least 1 to 3. In addition, it is important for us, so that the concessionaire is not only engaged in construction, but also independently performs the targeted operation of the facility. We also pay attention to the provision of free hours for physical education and sports to privileged categories of the population. The projects that have passed the new selection have been carefully studied, both from a technical and financial point of view," said Elena Sandakova, Head of the PPP Mechanisms Development Department of the Investment Development and State Property Management Department of the Russian Ministry of Sports.

According to the My Station project, two similar complexes will appear in Murmansk and Apatity. Each of them will be a one-storey building with an area of 510 square meters, which will house several multifunctional gyms. A street sports infrastructure with free access for everyone will be created next to the clubs. The volume of investments in the creation of one project is estimated at 83 million rubles and will be clarified based on the results of the state examination. Concession agreements are planned to be concluded for 15 years.

It is noted that the cost of visiting new sports clubs will be affordable for the general public, and "social hours" are provided for privileged categories when classes will be free.

"It is pleasant to realize that our projects scored the maximum number of points during the selection process, competing on an equal basis with other complex and capital-intensive initiatives. In the My Station projects, we managed to combine a high level of social burden and commercial efficiency, which indicates great prospects," commented Artur Shcheglov, co-founder of the My Station investment company.

Recall that the Murmansk region will receive co-financing in the amount of 60 million rubles for the implementation of two projects to create sports clubs within the framework of a public-private partnership, said the governor of the Murmansk region, Andrey Chibis. The head of the region noted that the project to create prefabricated sports clubs was developed by the investor together with the Murmansk Region Development Corporation with the participation of the Murmansk and Apatity administrations.
