Today in Murmansk, the opening ceremony of the indoor ice rink with artificial ice "Meteor"took place. The event was attended by the Governor Andrey Chibis.
"Meteor "is another popular platform for winter sports. First of all, for ice hockey. The creation of such an object became possible thanks to the national project and the concession agreement, under which funds from the federal, regional and local budgets, as well as part of the funds of investors, were allocated, – said Andrey Chibis. I congratulate all residents of the Murmansk region, Murmansk residents on this event. Now those who experienced a shortage of time on the ice, got a new opportunity to practice, and closer to their place of residence. The object is worthy, we will continue such construction".
The solemn performance on the ice of "Meteor" began with the appearance of honored masters of sports and masters of sports of international class. At the ice arena, young athletes also performed, who presented ice sports – ice hockey, ball hockey, speed skating, figure skating, etc.
The event ended with a friendly meeting between the national teams of the city of Murmansk and the Northern Fleet. It was attended by the guest of honor of the opening ceremony of the ice arena, Commander of the Northern Fleet Alexander Moiseev. The final score of the team match is 4: 2 in favor of the Northern Fleet team.
