The regional government has built long-term and constructive cooperation with all key industrial enterprises that are guarantors of the economic well-being of the region. Five agreements on socio-economic cooperation with the largest companies operating in the region are being successfully implemented in the region: PJSC NOVATEK, PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel, JSC Apatit, GC Rosatom, JSC MHC EuroChem.
In addition, the administrations of Kirovsk and Apatity have also concluded municipal agreements with companies belonging to the ACRON Group of companies. The administration of the city of Kandalaksha signed a cooperation agreement with the local branch of JSC "RUSAL Ural" – "Kandalaksha Aluminum Plant".
Within the framework of cooperation, and this is in addition to tax deductions, companies have additionally invested 9.3 billion rubles in the development of municipalities over 3 years. In 2020-2022, 126 different events were jointly implemented in ten localities within the framework of regional and municipal agreements. First of all, these are projects to improve the urban environment, including large-scale ones, the implementation of large infrastructure facilities of a social orientation in the fields of healthcare, culture, education, sports, repair of local roads, development of tourist infrastructure, providing material support to young professionals and other social projects.
"The Government of the Murmansk Region notes the significant contribution of key industrial enterprises to the socio-economic development of the region. And the implemented measures indicate that we are reliable partners and consolidate joint efforts aimed at improving the quality of life in municipalities – in the territories of the companies' presence. Currently, a regional cooperation agreement is also being prepared with MMC Norilsk Nickel and Rosatom State Corporation, as agreements with them expire in 2022," said Olga Kuznetsova, Deputy Governor of the Murmansk Region.

Within the framework of the agreement with JSC "Apatit", medical equipment for medical buildings and polyclinics, protective equipment were purchased, rehabilitation treatment was carried out in LLC "Tirvas" for more than 1.5 thousand residents of Kirovsk and Apatites, financial assistance was provided to preschool institutions, educational institutions, Kirov and Apatite branches of MAGU, repair work, reconstruction and improvement of cultural institutions were carried out in Kirovsk and Apatity, the repair of the runway of the Khibiny airport was carried out, a master plan for the development of the ski complex was developed, a restaurant complex on the top of Aikuaivenchorr Mountain, etc., has been put into operation. Also, measures have been taken to improve the courtyards and public territories of Apatity and Kirovsk, the winner of the All–Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment in Kirovsk is being implemented.
Rosatom State Corporation in Polar Dawns implemented measures to improve the memorial complex "Eternal Flame", the public territory along Pushkin Street, the public territory of the boulevard "Northern Lights", built a "Ski base", repaired local roads, implemented projects "Polar Dawns – city of light", "Atom-Island", "Thrifty polyclinic", as well as the maintenance and repair of communal infrastructure was financed.
Within the framework of the agreement with JSC "MHC "EuroChem", apartments were renovated for 12 doctors, financial assistance was also provided to them, expenses for the maintenance of the FOK "Chaika" and the payment of swimming pool subscriptions for the company's employees were financed.
Within the framework of the concluded three municipal agreements of the cities of Apatity and Kirovsk with enterprises belonging to the group of companies of PJSC "AKRON", 21 events in the field of landscaping, repair of educational facilities, physical education and sports, culture were implemented in three settlements of the region. The administration of the city of Kandalaksha signed a cooperation agreement with the branch of JSC RUSAL Ural – the improvement of the Kirov Alley in Kandalaksha (architectural concept "Aluminum Line") was carried out.
