Murmansk region has risen from 61 places to 40 positions up in the efficiency rating

One of the key parameters of the region's development, including determining the prospects of the economy – the volume of investments for 9 months – showed a steady growth of 12 % and led the Murmansk region to the 17th place in Russia.

At the end of the year, the growth will continue, the annual investment volume will reach almost 200 billion rubles.

During the year, 17 companies became residents of preferential regimes with a planned investment volume of almost 146.4 billion rubles and the creation of more than 3,000 jobs.

In terms of retail trade turnover, despite a decline of 3.3%, the Murmansk region rose from 73rd place in 2019 to 37.

For 10 months of this year, the average monthly nominal accrued salary of employees of organizations in the region increased by 107.1 % (66,610 rubles), in real terms-103.9 % (on average in Russia-an increase of 5.6% and 2.4%, respectively).

For the first time, there was an increase of 4.5% in the average number of industrial workers – by 2.6 thousand people to 60.5 thousand people.

This dynamic was also facilitated by the timely adoption of a wide range of anti-crisis measures to support economic entities, medical, social and other workers involved in the fight against the new coronavirus infection.

At the end of the year, the number of employees in the field of small and medium-sized businesses will be about 66.8 thousand people, which is 0.6% more than last year. At the same time, in 2019, the parameter decreased by 9.4% by 2018.

Moreover, a special tax regime for the self-employed has been launched, which demonstrates its effectiveness – almost 5,285 people have been registered since July 2020.

The year 2020 is passing with the least losses for the economy of the Murmansk region, in contrast to Russia as a whole.

24 Executive bodies of the state power and 17 municipalities of the Murmansk region will receive the award from the Federal budget.

Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation from 04.12.2020 "On the promotion of the Russian regions in 2020 for the achievement of performance indicators of Executive authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation" was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at the beginning of December. Just like a year ago, the Russian government considered regional bonuses to be an important motivating tool.

On the eve of December 24, 2020, the Governor of the Murmansk region, Andrey Chibis, signed a decree "on the distribution of a grant received from the Federal budget to encourage regional and municipal management teams of the Murmansk region in 2020".
