Murmansk oblast has occupied the 56th place in the National rating of investment climate in regions of Russia (hereinafter - Narrating), which is annually prepared by the Agency for strategic initiatives in cooperation with business associations, improving its position by 15 places.
The rating consists of 44 indicators, grouped into 17 factors influencing business and investment climate, which are formed in particular on the basis of surveys of the business community. The rating commends the efforts of the regional authorities on creation of favorable conditions for doing business in the region.
Entrepreneurs say the reduction in total time required for registration of a legal entity, increasing the efficiency of connection to the electricity grid, reducing the amount of requested additional documents within the framework of the control, increasing credit availability and positively evaluate the quality of regional legislation related to protection mechanisms and support for investors, the Internet portal about the investment activities and portal for support issues and small business development.
In addition, the results of the Rating improved by increasing the proportion of roads that meet regulatory requirements and increase the proportion of state and municipal contracts with small businesses in the total value of state and municipal contracts.
