At an operational meeting in the regional government, the acting head of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation, Artem Kuksa, presented the rating of the activity of investment officers for the previous quarter, as well as the final results for 2022.
According to the results of the new rating, in the fourth quarter of 2022, assistance to investors and entrepreneurs in the implementation of investment projects was most actively provided by authorized executive bodies – the Ministries of Arctic Development and Economy, property relations, and the Tourism Committee. Among the municipalities are the investment authorized cities of Kirovsk, Kola district, BUT Severomorsk.
The most active investment commissioners during 2022 were representatives of the Ministry of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region, as well as the administrations of the Pechenga District, Kirovsk, BUT Severomorsk.
One of the main effects of the activities of the investment authorities in the territories is the influx of new investment projects that provide new jobs and tax deductions to the budget. In the fourth quarter of 2022, 11 new residents of the AZ of the Russian Federation appeared in the Murmansk region. In total, the number of residents increased by 80 in 2022. In terms of the number of residents among the nine Arctic regions of Russia, the Murmansk Region retains leadership.
In two years of work, the institute has proven its effectiveness, nevertheless, approaches to work continue to improve. Since January 1, 2023, amendments to the regulation on investment officers have come into force, expanding their duties.
"Now the officials appointed from among the heads of departments responsible for interaction not only with the subjects of investment activity and JSC "Murmansk Region Development Corporation", but also with small and medium-sized businesses, as well as self-employed citizens and SME support infrastructure, with the Commissioner for the Protection of the rights of entrepreneurs and "KRDV-Murmansk", – noted Artem Kuksa.
