
Students of the fourth stage of the Muravyov-Amursky — 2030 educational program, aimed at training competent management personnel for government authorities, are currently conducting a study visit to the Murmansk Region. Upon successful completion of their studies, future graduates can be considered for strategic positions in the executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, municipal positions and become heads of key organizations involved in the development of territories.
An important part of the program was the interaction of the cadets of the program with representatives of the regional authority — the Committee on Tourism of the Murmansk region and the Tourist Information Center of the Murmansk region. The participants were presented in detail the activities of the committee, successful implemented projects aimed at the development of domestic and inbound tourism. Special attention was paid to the study of the rich tourism potential of the region.
"Tourism in the Murmansk region is not only a driver of economic growth, but also an opportunity to show the unique nature of the Arctic: northern Lights, Khibiny mountain ranges, Arctic cuisine, the coast of the Barents Sea and the cultural heritage of the Sami. The development of the tourism infrastructure helps to create new jobs and increase the investment attractiveness of the region," Denis Maltsev, Deputy Head of the Marketing and Promotion Department of the Murmansk Region Tourism Committee, said during the presentation of the tourism potential.
In addition, the participants of the Tourism direction visited the city of Monchegorsk, where they had a constructive dialogue with Alexander Eliseev, Deputy Director of the Monchegorsk Development Agency, and were able to get acquainted with the unique features of the local tourism potential. The tour ended with a visit to the industrial site of the Kola Mining and Metallurgical Company.
