PhosAgro became the winner of the award of the magazine "Company" and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia "Company of the Future – 2024" with a social project for the development of infrastructure and recreational potential of the mountain tourism cluster "Khibiny". The Governor of the Murmansk Region, Andrey Chibis, congratulated the company on its well-deserved victory in the federal award.
"PhosAgro takes an active part in the sustainable development of the Murmansk region: it introduces modern technologies into large-scale production, attracts young specialists, helps to put cities in order and creates comfortable conditions for guests of the Bolshoy Voodyavr ski resort, which annually breaks records in the number of tourists. I sincerely congratulate PhosAgro on its well-deserved victory, which was the natural result of a lot of well-coordinated work. We are proud of fruitful cooperation and are always ready to support a reliable partner in any endeavor!" the head of the region stressed.
The core of the mountain tourism cluster "Khibiny" is the ski resort "Bolshoy Woodyavr", which is one of the five largest ski resorts in Russia. In the 2023-2024 season, it was visited by over 405 thousand guests, which is 21% more than the level of the previous season. The development of infrastructure and recreational potential of the Khibiny mining and tourism cluster, the core of which is the Bolshoy Woodyavr, is the goal of PhosAgro's long-term investment project. The company has already allocated more than 9 billion rubles for its implementation.
Recall that in August 2024, the governor of the Murmansk Region, Andrei Chibis, and the General director of PJSC PhosAgro, Mikhail Rybnikov, opened a new gondola-type cable car on the Southern slope of the Bolshoy Vudyavr ski resort in Kirovsk. The capacity of the facility ranges from 1200 to 2250 people per hour. This is the first cable car in Russia and a construction project implemented under the conditions of import substitution, together with Ruslet, a Russian manufacturer of cable cars.
In addition to the completion of the construction of a new cable car on the Southern slope of the Bolshoy Woodyavr ski resort, landscaping of its slopes and central square was carried out in the off-season, additional high-intensity lighting was installed on the tracks, the development of service and guest areas continues, and equipment rental areas are improved. The implementation of the large-scale project became possible thanks to the support of the Ministry of the Far East and the Arctic and PhosAgro, in particular, the project became one of the recipients of benefits and support within the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.
