Representatives of the Ministry of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region took part in the business mission of the regions entrepreneurs

A business mission of entrepreneurs from Monchegorsk and Pechenga District, organized by the ANO Project Management Center, took place in the capital of the Kola Arctic. The purpose of the visit was the exchange of experience, the search for best practices in the implementation of business projects.

The business mission was attended by entrepreneurs of Monchegorsk and Pechenga district, representatives of the business community of the region, the Ministry of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk region, regional infrastructure for supporting investors and small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs of the Murmansk region, which allowed participants to establish business contacts, tell about their business to entrepreneurs of the region to receive information on support measures, as well as to discuss the most pressing issues of active interest to the business community.

Natalia Poluyanova, Deputy Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region, told the participants about the current business support measures.

"Within the framework of the national project "Small and medium–sized Entrepreneurship and support for individual entrepreneurial initiative", significant support is provided to entrepreneurs both financially in the form of grants and subsidies, microloans at a preferential interest rate, and non-financial (services, consultations, educational events)," Natalia Poluyanova commented.

The largest number of questions that participants asked during communication with representatives of the Ministry and Business Support Infrastructure concerned financial support for entrepreneurs, self–employed and individuals who plan to open their own business - a Governor's start, subsidies for reimbursement to small and medium-sized businesses engaged in socially significant activities, as well as the procedure for obtaining the status of a social enterprise.

Maria Filimonova, Director of the Marketing and Communication Department of Murmansk Region Development Corporation JSC, spoke about a set of investor support measures, including administrative assistance, tax incentives, financial participation in projects significant to residents, the creation of necessary infrastructure, as well as support for investment projects on the principle of "one window" at all its stages. In addition, entrepreneurs learned about the conditions for obtaining the status of a resident of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and about the benefits provided to residents.


Marta Govor, Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs of the Murmansk Region, told about the main difficulties faced by entrepreneurs when running their own business.

"Such events are very important, as they allow you to get acquainted not only with the experience of existing, successful entrepreneurs, but also to communicate directly with representatives of the business support infrastructure of the region, relevant executive authorities, in order to learn firsthand not only about the support measures that exist in the region, but also to consult on a business project planned for implementation," Marta Govor stressed.
