The delegation of the Murmansk Region, headed by Svetlana Panfilova, Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the region, took part in the Russia exhibition in Moscow as part of the Industry Day. During the event, a plenary session was held, where key achievements and results of industrial development were discussed.
Denis Manturov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, made a welcoming speech to the participants, who spoke about the enormous potential of Russian industry. He noted that 89 regions of the Russian Federation have their own production facilities, among which leading companies are able to turn into national champions.
"Manufacturing industries also have a significant weight in the structure of Russia's GDP. In the last 10 years, the corresponding share has been close to 13%. The industry has consistently remained in the lead due to an increase in production volume by almost 35% over the same time," the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.
An "Industrial Quiz" was also organized at the Murmansk Region stand, where participants could demonstrate their knowledge and receive souvenirs.
The Murmansk Region has historical industrial significance, and the development of this industry remains one of the key priorities of the region.
"Powerful mining and metallurgical complexes have been created in the Murmansk Region, which provide a significant part of the country's needs for apatite-nepheline ores, iron ore concentrate, rare earth metals and nickel. The region continues to develop in this direction, and the projects implemented by our industrial enterprises serve as an excellent example of this. The decision to gasify the region will have a significant impact on the development of industry in the Murmansk region. Thanks to gasification, many industrial enterprises will not only have the opportunity to qualitatively modernize existing production facilities, but also launch investment projects aimed at developing industries that are completely new to the subject," Svetlana Panfilova stressed.
