Today, the Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis held a working meeting with the CEO of PJSC Rosseti North-West Artem Pidnik. The main issue on the agenda was the discussion of the development of the Murmansk transport hub.
"Quite recently, President Vladimir Putin drew attention to the necessity and importance of this project. Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Regional Development, the Murmansk Region received 4.2 billion rubles for the development of energy supply on the western shore of the Kola Bay. This is necessary so that residents of the TOP, as well as new projects of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, have the opportunity to be implemented even faster. We hope that your specialists will carry out the necessary work to create the infrastructure efficiently and on time," the head of the region said.
"Thanks to your attention, more and more residents of the territory of advanced development are appearing in the region. Our strategic task is to provide the necessary capacity in this area. In addition, we are systematically working to improve the reliability and development of the electric grid infrastructure of the Arctic. This year we will invest 2 billion rubles in the electric grid complex of the Murmansk region. In particular, we will repair 139 km of power transmission lines, 30 transformer substations, replace more than 4 thousand insulators, and clear almost 600 hectares of overhead lines. I am sure that all the work will be completed in the required time," said the CEO of Rosseti North-West.
Also, within the framework of the working meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed. It concerned the implementation of the Regional Investment Standard.
"Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to quickly resolve their issues on connecting to the electricity supply. So, a special representative will appear in the regional branch of Rosseti North-West. In addition, the data will be open and accessible to representatives of any type of business," the governor explained.
Artem Pidnik stressed that the agreement will allow to synchronize the plans of Rosseti North-West for the development of electric grid infrastructure with the plans of the region, noting that this will favorably affect the development of the investment climate in the Murmansk region.
