The Arctic Investor Day in Moscow aroused the interest of more than 50 current and potential investors

On December 22, the Arctic Investor Day was held at the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia" as part of the Day of the Murmansk Region. The event with the participation of Governor Andrey Chibis and the Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Alexey Chekunkov brought together more than fifty heads of companies, including key enterprises in the region. The main topic of the discussion was the discussion of the role of the Northern Sea Route in the integrated development of the Murmansk region and the Arctic as a whole. The Murmansk Region Development Corporation presented promising projects in the field of sports, transport logistics and tourism to potential investors interested in the development of companies in the territory of the Kola Arctic.


Experts from the National Association of Investors and Operators of the Infrastructure Projects Market highly appreciated the technical and financial performance of the investment sites presented. All presentations of the submitted projects are available on the Investment Portal of the Murmansk region.


"We are seeing great interest in the investment opportunities of the Murmansk region from the business side. Moreover, the attention of potential investors is focused not only on possible projects in the field of tourism and transport logistics, since these industries are now at their peak. Socially oriented projects are increasingly in demand from companies, as today the state provides a wide range of preferences for their implementation. Only recently we have concluded a concession for the implementation of FOCA in Murmansk. Next year, we will continue to work on these projects and will continue to develop new investment niches, focusing on the needs of Northerners," said Artem Kuksa, General Director of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation.


Also, the guests of the Arctic Investor Day were presented with a photo project "People of the North" about promising professions in the Arctic, the heroes of which were employees of leading enterprises of the Murmansk region. And Svetlana Panfilova, Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region, presented the Arctic Investor badge to Rosatom State Corporation, PhosAgro PJSC and MMC Norilsk Nickel PJSC for their significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the Murmansk Region. And also for the successful implementation of investment projects: NOVATEK-Murmansk company — for the implementation of the project for the construction of the world's first plant for the serial production of LNG lines on gravity—type bases, Nord Star company - for the implementation of the technical re-equipment project of the Vitino seaport, EL5-Energo company — for the implementation of the construction project the largest wind farm in the Arctic, and other residents of the AZ of the Russian Federation and the TOP "Capital of the Arctic": companies "Russian Salmon", "Arctic Fleet", "Ivekta Group", "Sokroma Real Estate", "Studenyi Bereg", "Phlogopit", "EATEK", "Elcom-service".
