The multifunctional creative space "Grani" has opened in Murmansk. The site is designed for creative and cultural events, and can also act as a workspace for representatives of small and medium-sized businesses and independent authors.
The project was implemented by individual entrepreneur Ksenia Riznichenko, the winner of the Gubernatorial Start grant competition in 2025. The grant funds were used to purchase the necessary equipment, provide marketing support for the project on social media, and create a website.
The new Grani space can be easily transformed into photo shoots, lectures, exhibitions, and is equipped with professional lighting, sound, museum, and multimedia equipment. Its own educational activities will also be implemented here. The main goal of the project is to support local creative initiatives, develop the urban cultural environment, and create an accessible infrastructure for creativity and business. The project is a clear example of the successful implementation of the creative economy model, where cultural initiatives become a catalyst for economic growth.
"I am sure that the space will become a new center of attraction for the creative community of the entire region. I wish you successful development, good luck and inspiration," Natalia Poluyanova, Deputy Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region, said in her welcoming speech at the opening ceremony.
The Governor's Start grant competition is being implemented as part of the governor's plan "Live in the North!" and involves providing financial support for the launch and development of new business projects in the Murmansk Region. Over the past five years, more than 190 entrepreneurs have received such support in the amount of about 230 million rubles.
