The delegation of the Murmansk Region, headed by Governor Andrey Chibis, will take part in the 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. It takes place from 5 to 8 June 2024 at the Expoforum Exhibition Center in St. Petersburg. The main theme of this year's forum is "The foundation of a multipolar world – the formation of new growth points."
As part of the business program of the forum, on June 6, Governor Andrey Chibis will speak at the session "The Northern Sea Route: Expanding Arctic Horizons". The discussion will also be attended by Advisor to the President of Russia Igor Litvin, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Alexey Chekunkov, Special Representative for Arctic Development of the Rosatom State Corporation Vladimir Panov, Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Alexander Tsybulsky.
Also on June 6, the head of the Murmansk region will talk about the formation of master plans for Arctic agglomerations at the session "Regions and Cities. The future is today." It is planned to participate in the session of the Minister of Housing and Communal Services of Russia Irek Fayzulin, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Gadzhimagomed Huseynov, Director of Development of the Aircraft Group Ilya Petrasov, parliamentarians, representatives of real estate developers, development institutions and organizations.
On June 6, during the Arctic Day at the VEB stand.Russian Governor Andrey Chibis presents the new economic strategy of the Murmansk region and the industrial potential of the region.
A number of cooperation agreements will be signed during the SPIEF. Working meetings of the head of the region are also planned, including with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation Dauren Abayev.
