The Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko signed a decree on state support for the socio-economic development of the Murmansk region. The document was adopted following the results of the Days of the Murmansk Region in the Federation Council on October 9-11 in Moscow.
Recall that during the meetings of the relevant committees, as well as during the "Hour of the Subject", the head of the Murmansk region, Andrei Chibis, submitted proposals for the development of the region for discussion. They were supported by Valentina Matvienko and included in the final resolution of the Federation Council.
According to the document, the Government of the Russian Federation is recommended to include several measures related to the socio-economic development of the Kola Arctic.
The issue of including several facilities in the federal targeted investment program will be raised – the reconstruction of the Sailors' House of Culture, the construction of an indoor sports and recreation complex and a pre-erected sports and recreation complex with a swimming pool and gym in Murmansk.
In addition, the above-mentioned ministries are recommended to consider the proposals of the Government of the Murmansk region on the development of a unified scientific and technical program for the development of the Russian Arctic for 2024-2030.
The resolution of the Federation Council also supported and adopted for further study the proposal of the Murmansk Region to conduct an experiment on the territory of the region to involve in commercial circulation catches of aquatic biological resources obtained by amateur fishermen, but not used by them to meet personal needs.
To implement the resolution, the Government of the Murmansk Region is recommended to develop an action plan and submit proposals, applications and financial and economic justifications to the authorized federal executive authorities.

The Days of the Murmansk Region were held in the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia from October 9 to 11.
