The Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov visited the Murmansk region. Following the visit, he noted that the region has made a big breakthrough in the economy and has taken a place on the tourist map of the country.
"The Murmansk Region is traditionally an industrial region where minerals are extracted, often unique, a region that is now increasing its transport importance, a region that is extremely important for the security of the country. But against the background of all this, he made a big breakthrough, found a new branch of specialization and is now in the top in terms of tourist flow growth. It has absolutely unique tourist products, its own niche," Maxim Reshetnikov said.
As part of his trip to the Murmansk Region, the Minister held an All-Russian selector to prepare for the winter tourist season, and together with Governor Andrey Chibis visited the Center for the Construction of Large-tonnage Offshore Structures (Novatek-Murmansk).
In addition, the Minister got acquainted with the infrastructure of the Bolshoy Vudyavr ski resort. At the end of the trip in Kirovsk, together with Governor Andrey Chibis, Maxim Reshetnikov held a meeting with representatives of the polar tourism industry.
