This year, the program of Entrepreneurship Days in the Murmansk Region includes more than 60 events of various formats aimed at developing professional competencies, exchanging experience and new ideas in the business community, as well as popularizing entrepreneurship itself. This information was announced today by Governor Andrey Chibis during an operational meeting.
"In the Murmansk region, the number of small and medium-sized businesses at the beginning of the year amounted to almost 26 thousand units, which is 4.3% higher than in 2023. The number of self-employed citizens by the end of 2023 exceeded 28 thousand people, which is 43% higher than the level of the same period in the previous year. Such an increase in the number of both individual entrepreneurs and the self–employed is an important indicator of how attractive the Murmansk region is becoming for doing business. And, of course, this is the result of effective work carried out within the framework of the strategic plan "Live in the North!", the introduction of financial and non–financial support measures, preferential tax and preferential regimes, so that we have more and more small and medium–sized businesses," the head of the region noted.
Andrey Chibis recalled that support for entrepreneurship in the Murmansk Region continues – in total, about 300 million rubles were allocated from the federal and regional budgets for the development of small and medium-sized businesses in 2023.
The Governor drew the attention of the region's entrepreneurs to the opportunity to assess the business conditions in the Murmansk region: Polls have been launched by the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion, in which every entrepreneur can contribute, express their opinion and assess the situation in our region and influence decisions aimed at improving the investment climate of the Murmansk region. Information about the survey is sent by e-mail and SMS.
"Do not miss the opportunity to cast your vote, the poll will last until the beginning of June this year. Moreover, we have something to be proud of: since 2019, GRP per capita has increased 2.5 times; the volume of investments in 5 years in the region amounted to about 1.2 trillion rubles, taxes for small businesses have been reduced 6 times under the simplified taxation system. Today, the Murmansk Region is the leader in terms of investments and the number of residents of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. We are all trying and will continue to try to make our business comfortable, because this is a matter of self–realization of people, salaries and jobs that are being created on our territory," the governor stressed.
Svetlana Panfilova, Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region, reported on the events within the framework of the days of Entrepreneurship in 2024.
