The updated strategic development plan "To live in the North" has been published on the website of the regional government until 2030, so that every resident of the region can get acquainted with it. This was announced by the Governor of the Murmansk Region, Andrey Chibis, during an operational meeting.
"Together with you, we have updated the strategic plan for the development of the Murmansk Region until 2030, "Live in the North." It was approved at the end of last year, and the details and nuances of the launch were discussed at a government meeting last week. It will be published in a new edition today. It contains the directions, priorities, tasks and activities that our people voted for. The plan was formed taking into account 72,000 proposals from residents and experts from various industries," the governor emphasized.
Andrey Chibis recalled that the basis of the plan is the national goals outlined by the President of Russia.
"The plan is synchronized with new national projects, master plan events for the Murmansk Region's core agglomerations, renovation of buttes and military garrisons, socio-economic agreements with our key partners, strategic development projects and regional projects," said Andrey Chibis.
Andrey Chibis also stressed that the main goals of the updated plan are to preserve the population and increase the incomes of people and the budget of the region.
"I want to say once again, colleagues, that indeed, there is a whole set of measures in the plan that are not directly within the powers of state authorities, the government of the Murmansk region. Many of them are the powers of municipalities, federal structures, business opportunities and tasks, but we have taken them into work, as clear guidelines for business and society, that we, as the Government, as the regional team, will fight for this and will do everything to implement them. These priorities have been verified with experts, with people, and are concentrated. This is the program and the tasks that we will implement in the next 5 years. These are our priorities, and we will move forward with them," the head of the region noted.
