The Operstab for the Prevention of the importation and Spread of a new coronavirus infection in the territory of the Russian Federation has approved an algorithm of actions to attract foreign citizens to the Russian economy. It was developed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation in connection with the effect of restrictive measures on the territory of Russia.
According to the algorithm, employers involved in the implementation of national and federal projects, priority programs, and major investment projects will be able to attract foreign workers in professions for which there is no demand from citizens of the Russian Federation or there are no specialists of the necessary qualifications.
Currently, the relevant amendments are being made to the order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 635-r of 16.03.2020 regarding the provision of an opportunity to enter the Russian Federation for labor migrants included in the lists in accordance with the algorithm.
The new mechanism is implemented in electronic format: employers can post in the information and analytical system of the All-Russian database of vacancies "Work in Russia» applications for attracting foreign employees.
