Opportunities for the development of technological entrepreneurship in the region, innovative solutions and new formats of interaction between government and business were discussed today in Murmansk at a meeting with representatives of the Skolkovo foundation. The event was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Governor of the region Olga Kuznetsova.
"Today, the implementation of the largest investment projects in the West Bank and in the whole territory of socio-economic development opens up a large horizon of opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses. As we know, large-scale projects are always overgrown with small companies that provide various services. We are interested in these companies being local, familiar with modern technologies and working formats, " - the Vice-Governor stressed in her welcoming speech.
In April, Murmansk will host a startup tour-an annual event of the Skolkovo foundation. Murmansk is among the 9 participating cities. The program will be held in an online format and will include four main parts: conference, competition, educational and mentoring.
"This is one of the most popular formats, when a team of experts travels to the region and conducts an expert examination of projects in full-time and in absentia. Each city has its own prize fund, the winners receive not only cash prizes, but also the opportunity to present their project at the international conference Startup Village 2021, which will be held in Moscow in May, " - explained Oleg Makarov, Deputy Head of the Regional development Department of the Skolkovo Foundation.
The startup tour will be held in Murmansk on April 30. Participation in the project is free of charge. For more information, please contact the Murmansk Regional innovation business incubator by phone 8 (8152) 43-29-49 or e-mail info@mribi.ru.
