President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has sent greetings to the participants, organizers and guests of the VI International Arctic Forum "The Arctic – the Territory of Dialogue", which will be held on March 26-27 in the Arctic zone of Russia.
In his greeting, the head of the Russian state noted that the meeting was taking place for the first time in Murmansk, a city that can rightfully be called Russia's gateway to the Arctic. During the Forum, government representatives, well-known scientists and experts will comprehensively discuss issues of ensuring security and cooperation in the region, supporting breakthrough energy, infrastructure and environmental projects. They will exchange views on the prospects for the implementation of demanded research and cultural programs.
"The motto of the current Forum is "To live in the North!" – it fully reflects one of our key priorities for the development of the Arctic territories – comprehensive renovation, improvement of cities and towns, and improvement of people's quality of life. First of all, by creating modern jobs and further boosting the economy and social sphere," the greeting reads. "The Russian Arctic opens up huge opportunities for creative work, for applying the strength and talents of young people, specialists of various professions, and for launching bold entrepreneurial, scientific, and creative initiatives. And in this great work, we are committed to cooperation with all interested partner states and integration associations," Vladimir Putin stressed.
He also emphasized the importance of improving the transport infrastructure of the region, including ports, railways, aviation services and the organization of year-round navigation along the Northern Sea Route.
The President expressed confidence that the participants of IAF-2025 will hold meaningful and constructive discussions, and the ideas and recommendations of its participants will be in demand in practice.
