On February 7, the Ministry of Culture of the Murmansk Region begins accepting documents for new areas of grant support.
Starting this year, for the first time, support will be provided to individual entrepreneurs and legal entities engaged in the field of culture and art. The proposed ideas should reflect the modern spirit of the Kola Arctic and the Arctic region, strengthen the positive image of the Murmansk region, as well as pay attention to the harmonious development of each northerner and the diversity of the cultural life of the region.
Creative startups will be able to apply for grants of up to 400 thousand rubles, which will be able to create creative products and services that are in demand among the residents of the region, providing entrepreneurs with a stable income in the long term. Information about the submission of applications and the conditions for granting grants can be found on the website of the Ministry of Culture.
Another support measure is designed for non–profit organizations whose activities are aimed at preserving, developing and popularizing the culture of the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North living in the Murmansk region - the Sami. The subsidy will help to carry out analytical and research work and create methodological recommendations for the symbolic codification of the material and intangible culture of the indigenous population, its size is 1 million rubles. You can find out how to get a grant on the website of the Ministry of Culture of the Murmansk region.
Support for creative initiatives is an important part of the regional plan "To live in the North", which is designed, among other things, to encourage Northerners to show their abilities and become active co–creators of the vibrant cultural life of the Kola Arctic. Recall that grant applications are also being accepted for young filmmakers, for amateur formations and clubs, as well as for creative unions.
Information about all existing regional measures to support cultural projects and initiatives can be found on the department's website in the section "Grants".
