Andrey Chibis discussed the prospects for the development of logistics opportunities in the region on the sidelines of the SPIEF

Today, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a working meeting was held between the Governor of the Murmansk Region, Andrey Chibis, and representatives of PJSC TransContainer (Delo Group of Companies).

The subject of discussion during the working meeting was the promising areas of cooperation between the government of the Murmansk region and PJSC Transcontainer in terms of cargo turnover at the port of Murmansk. Thus, the issue of possible participation of PJSC Transcontainer in the implementation of the Western Transport and Logical Hub container terminal project was put on the agenda, namely, in terms of forming a promising cargo base for the container terminal project and building container lines.

The day before, the head of the region noted that thanks to the implementation of the Western Transport and Logistics Hub container terminal project, Murmansk could become the main container hub in the Arctic. This requires infrastructure, but the first projects with a sufficiently large volume of cargo handling are already being implemented.
